Co-incidences? Maybe.

Many people believe in Co-incidence. I do. Within as huge a family as ours, co-incidence will surely happen more often than is considered 'normal'.


Many people are born on the same day, or share a specific date with some special event. For instance, my Great, Great Grandmother, Jane Elizabeth (HANNELL) CARROLL, wife of Martin James CARROLL, and our 'link' to the HANNELL family, died on the 29th August, 1915. I was born on the 29th August - 1951, though!


My Grandmother, Pauline's family, sons and daughters of John Hannell CARROLL and Margaret PHILLPOTT, had more co-incidences than enough.

Eldest son, Claude, was born 25th December, 1885 and died on his birthday, 1950.

Pauline was born on the 17th October, 1890

Harry was born on the 18th October, 1892

Thomas was born on the 19th October, 1898

Dorothy was born on the 20th October, 1894 and died on Pauline's birthday, 17th October, 1969 - the year Pauline died.


Pauline's eldest son, Owen, was born on the 21st October).

Clarence was born on the 3rd February, 1906 and died on his birthday, 1958.

'Nanna' (Margaret) CARROLL, died on 26th December! Different year, but the day after her first born.

The youngest and oldest children both died on their birthdays.

Two children were born, different years, but died on their actual birthdays.

John Hannell (Great Grandfather) CARROLL died on the 27th October.

What is it with October?


Out of one family, of 11 people, that's a few co-incidences! Spooky !!
